Rally Portugal
Rally Portugal combines a safe and sociable way to cross the Bay of Biscay and cruise down the Portuguese coast to the Algarve, with a fantastic programme of social and sightseeing events in Spain and Portugal.
Starting from Plymouth in late May, Rally Portugal crosses the Bay of Biscay to Bayona, then hops down the coast of Portugal in a series of short sails, to finishing up in Lagos with a final Prizegiving Dinner around the 21st June.
The Rally makes a great start to a cruise to the Mediterranean or an Atlantic crossing with the ARC, or for those simply looking for an enjoyable summer cruise. Crossing at this time of year normally offers stable weather conditions in the Bay of Biscay, while the northerly tradewinds should be firmly established, giving participants enjoyable coastal sailing in Portugal.
