Round the Island
One of the UK's most exiting races with over 1,800 yachts starting from the Royal Yacht Squadron line of Cowes the yachts circumnavigate the Isle of White past the Needles then St. Katherine’s Point and Bembridge Ledge and back into the Solent and the finish line. Competitor’s race for over 60 prizes that are awarded for the event but wherever you are placed every boat receives a memento of the race
With CYC you will enjoy a package joining the boat on Friday for a training day commencing at 10:00 when you will concentrate on maximising boat performance through teamwork before participating in the race on Saturday. After the race you will be able to step ashore to take part in the après race festivities in Cowes. Spend the night on board on Saturday with the and on Sunday Morning relax with breakfast before disembarking at 12:00 hrs. You will also receive a CYC Race Team Shirt
The cost includes your accommodation and all meals other than dinner on Saturday evening when we anticipate that you will wish to eat ashore amidst the post race celebrants. Berthing costs in Cowes and Foul Weather Gear if required
The race which is a participation event is open to sailors of all ability levels as you will join our professional Skipper and first mate who will lead the team through the event.
This event is a favourite with sailors and provides a superb mix of racing and social activity and is the ideal event for both individuals and corporate entertainment.
